Working with Planted
How do you work with developers?

We support developers and IPPs from site origination through install. Our team helps shape site strategy, optimize layouts, and accelerate interconnection and permitting. When it’s time to build, we coordinate with your EPC partners to deliver.

How do you work with EPCs?

We provide array design, components, and installation services, and work with trusted engineering partners to deliver the structural package. Our role flexes to fit your team and maximize project outcomes.

Design & Performance
How does Planted perform on sloped terrain?

Our terrain-following arrays handle slopes up to 27% in any direction, reducing grading and unlocking land others can’t. Get in touch for site-specific slope evaluation.

How does the production compare to trackers or south-facing fixed-tilt?

Planted systems can match or exceed energy output by using more modules per acre and optimizing DC:AC ratios—typically between 1.5 and 2. We help tailor each system to your site, goals, and interconnection.

What modules are compatible with Planted arrays?

We support most standard framed utility-scale modules, including crystalline silicon (c-Si) and First Solar Series 6/6+. We confirm compatibility during system design.

Can I use Planted in hail-prone regions?

Yes. Our arrays are compatible with hail-resistant modules, including 3.2mm front glass designs. Heavier formats are fully supported.

Installation & Maintenance
How deep are the foundations? How tall is the array?

Foundations are driven up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) below grade and the minimum array clearance is typically 0.75 meters (2.5 feet).

What are the snow and wind ratings?

The simple and reliable architecture of Planted arrays offers exceptional performance in high wind and snow regions. Planted avoids the dynamic wind issues – torsional galloping and vortex shedding – that add risk to other solar designs. Get in touch to dig into site-specifics.

What does operations and maintenance look like?

Our arrays are engineered for low-effort upkeep. Robust, fixed-tilt, motor-free architecture keeps long-term maintenance simple and predictable, and our integrated O&M solutions keep performance high. We provide low-profile mowers that maintain vegetation effectively below the array and trim around the foundations, and Planted arrays are compatible with grazing operations.
